Marshall Artist 30w valve guitar amp
This is a nice little 30w Marshall combo with a solid state preamp and a valve power amp.
It uses 2xEL34 power valves and a 12AX7 for the phase inverter.
There is no speaker in the cabinet right now, but I do have some speakers available, so if you want to restore it please ask. Likewise there are no power valves, but I could probably find you some used ones.
The main value here is the transformers.
This has the original Marshall output transformer 292 700/6 made by Drake. These are generally well regarded.
The power transformer has been replaced with a custom built one from renowned transformer makers Sowter in the UK in 2003. This tranformer cost around £100 in 2003 and would be easily double that now. A big upgrade on the original transformer.
The solid state preamp works, but I have bypassed the reverb circuit as it was adding more noise than I was happy with for studio use. It could be restored. I also removed the reverb tank, but I may still have it.
This amp could be restored but i don't have the time, energy and interest. As far as I am aware nothing is actually broken, it's just missing parts.
It could also be stripped for parts, primarily the transformers.
